Throk Sourheart was an Orcish Hunter and who used to hold the Maen position in the Thousand Eyes. He is deceased as of Thursday 29th November 2012.[]

Companion[]

Throk had only one real companion. He has his faithful Hyena, from the Thousand Needles, Echika. Throk often described Echika as a beautiful, athletic beast and often goes on about the fact that she is "one of a kind", after most of the Hyenas were wiped out by the tidal wave that struck the Thousand Needles. Unfortunately, Echika is no more. She was killed in an explosion at Thunder Bluff. Throk was companionless, as he said nobody can ever fill the void of Echika. However in recent times a Goat, rather randomly, started to follow him around everywhere, and Throk reluctantly accepted the Goat and even named it. "Baachika". Baachika is never far away from Throk.

The Late Echika

Outlook on the races of Azeroth[]

Throk has a rather contreversial and very predjudiced view on the various races that make up the wide world of Azeroth.

Tauren:

After spending many years with the Tauren in the Eyes, Throk has a great respect for his Tauren companions in the Thousand Eyes. He does of course still not understand the Tauren's belief in the Earthmother but has never openly questioned it - surprisingly enough. Although he probably will question it one day.

Trolls:

Throk does not understand Trolls. He finds them strange after hearing rumours that in Darkspear an

d Stranglethorn that Trolls frequently eat each other, or bite off each other's arms, hands, feet and legs. Throk also has problems understanding the accent Trolls posses when speaking Orcish. He claims that because Trolls have large and frankly uneccessary tusks they cannot speak Orcish properly. To fix that, he offers to cut a Troll's tusks off. No Troll has yet to accept.

Goblins:

Goblins are pests. Do not trust them. They'll take all your copper coins!

Undead:

The concept of Undeath is quite a mystery to Throk. He just can't get his head around it. He very much believes that if you die, you should stay dead. Otherwise you're being dishonourable and not living by the honour code that we must live by! "Lok'tar Ogar!", which of course means "Victory or Death." He'll often say to Undead, "You were not victorious in your battle. You should be dead. There's no middle way in Lok'tar Ogar!" This does not go down well.

Blood Elves:

Throk hates Blood Elves. He hates that they use Fel. He hates that they use Arcane. He thinks all Elves are corrupted by Fel.

Humans:

Throk of course has a burning hatred for Humans. He despises Humans. He spits on Humans. He really does hate Humans. He often claims that Humans are dishonourable, bloodthirsty, savages that have a lust for blood. He often uses what happened at Camp Taurajo as an example - Throk having a strong affinity with Camp Taurajo after spending many years there with the Thousand Eyes. He claims that the Humans had the choice of either leaving the village of innocents, or slaughtering them. They slaughtered them. "A prime example of their bloodlust." He says that if he was faced with the scenario of either leaving a village of unarmed innocents, women and children he would leave the village and not mindlessly kill everybody in it.

Garrosh Hellscream:

Throk does not like Hellscream, he never has and, unless he drastically changes his ways, he never will. Throk finds Hellscream to be dishonourable, pointing at the incident with the killings of innocents with the bomb. Although Throk might say things like "Hail Hellscream!" its very much a show and a disguise, because Throk is no fool. He understands that pubicly disagreeing with Hellscream will mean you get thrown to the wolves, or some sort of punishment.

Thrall:

"Thrall? The Elf-Lover? The Corpse-Lover? The one who single-handedly saved the Horde! Then he ruined it."

Pandaren:

History[]

An Act of Disrespect[]

Throk being a Warsong Orc was of course in Ashenvale, with the rest of the Warsong Orcs like any normal Warsong Orc, he was a true Warsong Orc. However, in a burst of outrage he disrespected one of the Warlords calling him weak, and a coward, claiming he would do a better job. As punishment Throk was told to leave Ashenvale and head south - where he would eventually meet the Thousand Eyes and Echika.

The Thousand Eyes[]

After Throk was banished to the South, he wandered the Needles encountering a Hyena cub which he subsequently formed a strong bond, and she became the Hyena we know as Echika.

It was one day that Throk wandered aimlessly with Echika into the small Tauren village of Camp Taurajo where he encountered Verdauga Whitecloud and The Thousand Eyes holding a meeting. Intriguied, Throk listened in on the meeting and after hearing comments such as "We cannot trust fel" and "Arcane is a poison", he was convinced. He talked with the Eyes, met them and soon was accepted as a Dibbun.

Wildranger for a Day[]

Because Throk wasn't nearly half as depressing, annoying and grumpy as he is now he quickly made friends with many of the Eyes and by making friends he rose up the ranks. He rose up the ranks so much he soon earned the esteemed rank of Wildranger. The feast that was prepared for his promotion to Wildranger was enjoyable, with Kodo and Plainstrider and Wolf-meat being served. Unfortunately just a day into his tenure as Wildranger, he reluctantly joined a rebellion against Verdauga with Braan Firetotem and Sage Grimtotem.

Rebellion[]

Throk was reluctant to join the rebellion against Verdauga Whitecloud a day after he was made Wildranger by the Whitecloud bull. He would never disrespect or say anything bad about Verdauga, but nor would he question the judgement of Sage and Braan on this matter - so he went ahead with the rebellion, becoming the 3rd of the Eyes to throw off their "chains" against the Wildlord.

Drowning in Alcohol[]

When the news of Verdauga's death in Northrend reached Throk, he never fully recovered from the shock of his old friend. Before Verdauga's death, they say that Throk was different. Happy more or less. Pleasant to be around. However since his death Throk has turned to drowning his sorrows in gallons and gallons of alcohol, and has since become rather bitter and a pain to be around.

Calflord[]

When the decision to make Talnes Whitecloud Wildlord went against Throk, he was infuriated.

"Talnes is but a Calf, he is yet to come of age!" He protested. "Put me in charge, I am much more experienced. I uphold the message of the Eyes!" For all his arguing, Throk was never put in charge of the Eyes - rightly so - and since the decision has resented Talnes and mocked him at any oppurtunity. Eventually coining the nickname, "Calflord." He would also say; "How have you found playing with your little toy totems? Good fun, zug zug?!"

The Caravan[]

When the Cataclysm struck, Throk was left reeling of the loss of Taurajo. He organised a series of revenge attacks with the Eyes on Alliance patrols, and he ventured into Taurajo with the Eyes recovering lost items.

After these sieges, he joined the Eyes on their ambitious Caravan from Vendetta Point to Mount Hyjal stopping in various places and helping.

The first place they stopped was Malaka'jin, they aided the Horde in the war effort in Stonetalon.

The second place they stopped in was Ashenvale, they stayed in a cave near a Volcano and Throk was caught up in a Volcanic eruption.

When they settled in Felwood, Throk had many arguments with Sage and in the end departed on an ambitious mission to restore Draenor all by himself.

Fifty Shades of Pink[]

On the 27th July 2012, Throk and Echika were attending Storytelling. It was going well. But then, there was an explosion, Throk is unharmed but Echika? Echika was blown to bits. All that remains was her head. To honour Echika, Throk and the Eyes held a week of mourning from the 30th July 2012 - 5th August 2012. During the week the Eyes gathered daily to honour Echika in different ways, but throughout the weak they all wore pink/purple.

I am Legend--Champion[]

On the 6th August 2012, Throk Sourheart was named the first ever "Champion of the Thousand Eyes". Being Champion Throk still retains all his Maen privileges, but he is the Thousand Eyes' equivalent of a Foreign Minister. He will lead the Eyes in all political meetings and affairs outside of the Eyes. The appointment was met with skepticism by some, but joy and happiness by others. However with the death of Sage, his rank was taken away from him. Even before he had a meeting.

Quotes[]

"There was.. once a weak.."

"My Blackrock Ale!" -

"Do not try.. -do-!"

"What would Verdauga have done? No doubt he'd have made some ale for me, but thats not the point."

"You are stupid."

"Echika is not a mangy mutt, she is a beautiful athletic Hyena, isn't that right Echika?"

" Once again it seems that I am right."

" A very witty comment there, if you want to make some more witty comments I am sure there is an Order you can join to make such witty comments!"

"You are not a true Eye."

"Fel damn that."

"It is a shame that the Eyes have fallen to this. Tauren that allow the use of Arcane and Fel on the Bluffs. It saddens me. No. It doesn't. It angers me and frustrates me. It infuriates me. Verdauga would be ashamed."

"Boooohoooo! Echika! Waaaaaah! Booooohooooo! Waaahaaaaa! Boooohoooo!"
